We all have great memories of our time rowing at St Anne's as undergraduates, and no doubt tied in closely with a great number of these memories are recollections that some how our kit just didn't rank equally with those around us.

OARS exists to firstly provide the forum to generate more fabulous memories and secondly to provide funding to improve the equipment. Funding as undergraduates we'd have been so very grateful for during our time as undergraduates.

The OARS committee are delighted that the first of the OARS membership subscriptions have just been used to purchased of a brand new set of blades for the men. Women though don't worry the ladies haven't been missing out! A new women's eight is due to be bought thanks to recent sponsorship.

With some fabulous races, drinks parties and dinners OARS has generated some great memories and had a direct effect for the current members of SABC in the short time since it's inauguration. Long may it continue. I very much hope you can join us at some of our events.
